24 hour fitness

Thanksgiving Day is coming up. You probably just took out the frozen bird and are already thawing the damn thing. Or you’re making plans to fly or drive to Grandma’s or maybe you decided to splurge for a meal at a restaurant. Whatever the plans, one thing’s for sure: you are going to stuff your face on that one day a year when you just don’t care about that pile of turkey and trimmings on your plate.

Mmm. That juicy drumstick. Those mashed potatoes and gravy and stuffing. Can’t forget the cranberry sauce and the pumpkin pie. Or the second or third helpings as you sit in front of the football games before you pass out and contemplate those Black Friday sales the next morning.

24 Hour Fitness is speaking to all of you who plan to stuff yourselves silly. They know the holiday season is here and they want to do their part to offer a little support –in the form of a whole week of free workouts at all participating locations across the USA. Go to www.24hourfitness.com for more details and for locations, but basically, from now until November 30, anyone can go in to 24 Hour Fitness and sign up for a free 7-day pass. Given what this is, I am sure that you’ll have to give them your name and number in case they want to upsell you a membership afterwards. But there is no obligation otherwise. Also, if you’re a member already like me, 24 Hour Fitness will allow you to workout at any of their locations, regardless of your membership level, including the snazzy Super and Ultra Sport facilities.

Grab your sweats and your sneaks, get a hand towel and juice up your IPod and head on over to your local 24 Hour Fitness because this is a pretty nifty deal. And if you decide to sign up for a continuing membership, is this such a bad thing? My experience is that you can usually work it so you get a decent deal. Have fun, and all locations should be open on Thanksgiving Day and the day after. Maybe not 24 houts everywhere, but it’s a good bet it’ll be open when you drop in and atone for all that whipped cream you simply had to put on your pumpkin pie!
